For 2023 models , the 125 RR 2-stroke has received the most substantial and far-reaching modifications of the entire 2-stroke range .
• flywheel & crankshaft : a lighter flywheel and smaller-diameter crankshaft help to reduce the inertia of the engine internals ; this means a quicker throttle response
• crankcase : because of the smaller-diameter crankshaft , the crankcase has been redesigned to ensure proper air / fuel mixture flow
• power valve : the power valve has been recalibrated to match the power delivery that the new crankshaft and crankcase has provided
