May 1st and 2nd saw the opening round of the 2021 Trials Inc competition season . With the 2020 season having been canceled , this was the first true event since late 2019 that riders had a chance to reunite and put their quarantine training to the test .
For those familiar with Lightning Raceway in Tippecanoe , OH , the weather rarely holds together to provide a warm , dry event weekend . In years past , Trials Inc has seen torrential downpours , and even snow at this prime trials venue . What can only be thought of as Mother Nature ’ s way of welcoming the club back , the weekend held together for one of the most beautiful weekends a rider could ask for , albeit a bit chilly ( 32˚F ) at night .
Saturday started out with some new faces in the Youth B class . Cheyenne Hawkins returned for her second ride at this venue
