At the Dragons Back National Enduro , On the Pegs had a chance to talk with AmPro Yamaha mechanic Cory MacDonald and get an inside scoop on Steward Baylor Jr ' s Yamaha YZ450X , a bike that ' s competing in everything from GNCC to National Enduro to Sprint Enduro .
The motor is bone stock , no different pistons , no different modifications other than aftermarket Rekluse torque-drive clutch with a little bit heavier duty springs to suit Steward .
As far as the exhaust system , we ' re running the FMF Factory 4.1 with the Power Megabomb slip-on with the carbon fiber cap ; the full titanium system ' s a little bit lighter .
We run Factory Connection Suspension full A-kit coated . Dunlop tires ; this weekend we ' re probably going to go with an MX-33 . If we have to change , it ' d probably be a 53 on the rear . Steward ' s been doing really good with MX-33 front . We run a bigger size bib in the GNCC and a smaller size bib for the enduro just for softness .
