Preston Blumhorst , having previously competed in the Novice class in 2019 on a 2004 Sherco 80 , moved up into the Intermediate class , armed with his new 2019 Sherco Factory 125 . If this weekend is any indication , Blumhorst may be graduating up to the Sportsman class ( Trials Inc ’ s next class in difficulty ) very soon , taking a 2-1 win on the weekend and the overall to sit first in series points . Sunday ’ s sections seemed to play more to his current skillset , as he improved from 11 points for the day on Saturday to only two points .
“ I had a good day in intermediate ,” said Blumhorst . “ I got two points for the whole day . It ' s a lot easier with better suspension and everything ; the tires roll over everything better and it ' s easier to move around .
