YOU ' RE 26 , YOU ' VE GOT A LOT OF INJURIES , BUT IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ' RE GOING THE FASTEST YOU ' VE EVER GONE IN YOUR LIFE . DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ' RE AS FAST AS YOU ' VE EVER BEEN OR ARE YOU JUST MORE TOGETHER MENTALLY ?
I would say the fastest I ever was was in my XC2 years ; I could lay down a single lap or a single test time that would just destroy other people . I can remember in 2012 at the National Enduros , I won tests by a minute and a half on multiple occasions .
I think I figured out a lot of things about riding but also being strategic , knowing what I need to do when I need to do it . It ' s not about being the fastest guy , and it ' s not about being the smartest guy . It ' s about being the guy that knows he can win and knows how to get there . You don ' t have to be a complete strategist at the GNCC , but you have to have somewhat of a strategy for each day and be able to bounce back when things aren ' t going exactly the way they need to . You need to know where you are on the track versus where the other guys are and where you should be .
There ' s a lot that I think I ’ ve learned as far as racing as a whole and looking more at the big picture
