There was a moment during Dougie Lampkin’s epic 2016 wheelie around the Isle
of Man TT course when the wind caught him off guard. His jaw set like a bulldozer
blade and concentration carved across his forehead, the twelve-time Trial World
Champion coolly corrected himself and his support team collectively breathed a
huge sigh of relief – although one member of the crew looked particularly ashenfaced.
It is safe to say that Jake Miller, Dougie’s long-time manager and one of the
driving forces behind the Red Bull-backed project, was not having a good day at
the office.
