Despite unfortunate circumstances in Colorado for rounds 5 and 6 of the 2022 AMA / NATC National Mototrials Championship Series , the final competition weekend of the year made sure to check all the boxes . And what a weekend , as FactoryONE Sherco ' s Pat Smage sealed the deal on his 13th National Title .
Much-appreciated cooler temperatures met riders on Saturday at the Iron Range OHV Recreation Area in Gilbert , MN . Several riders agreed that sections were a bit on the easier side , leading to low scores on the day . Easy sections bring new challenges , as a single dab can mean the difference between a podium position , or back of the pack .
