COUNTRY SERIES ROUND 8 - MASON DIXON
With the 2022 Grand National Cross Country series into the second half of the season , after the early dominance of defending champion Ben Kelley , everyone wondered who was going to be the one to step up to possibly dethrone the KTM rider if he is able to return after summer break . At the end of the Mason Dixon GNCC , everyone is still wondering .
With a picture-perfect mix of sun and temps in the 70 ’ s , the riders were ready for three hours of battle . As the green flag flew , Rockstar Energy Husqvarna ’ s Trevor Bollinger grabbed the holeshot and the lead as the field took off into the woods . Coastal GasGas ’ Ricky Russell and FMF KTM ’ s Josh Toth would follow the North Carolina native . Bollinger would lead the field through at the end of lap one with Russell and Toth close behind , while Team Babbitt ’ s Monster Energy Kawasaki ’ s Josh Strang would check in for fourth , and Magna1 Motorsports Husqvarna ’ s Jordan Ashburn would round out fifth .
