But I really enjoy being out front , sometimes people have different lines and it gets in my head and being able just to ride the line that I thought was best first and not having to worry about what other people were doing really helped . I really enjoyed it . I had really good rides , I had really bad rides , but it was a lot of fun and a great venue .
The club here did a really good job putting on this event , and I had a blast .
I hope to support the sport as long as I can . You know , if I can go out here and throw myself at a few rocks and hopefully encourage more kids to go do it or something , then , sure , I ' ll keep doing it . we had the same kind of section , but the rest of them I rode really well . There ' s a lot of cool rides and they put on a good show for all the people out here . It was a lot of fun and people were calling me the " The People ' s Choice ," so I ' ll take that [ laughs ].
Sunday , I just took off ahead of everyone , didn ' t really wait for anyone . I looked at the hard sections like , ' Well , I ' m just going to try my best .' And it actually worked out pretty well . I ended up finishing second in time to Pat , he ended up passing me on like section nine on the third loop because he ' s freaking fast and doesn ' t stop .
I ' ve got to thank my wife , first of all , because she ' s taking care of the crazy kids at home . I ' ve got to thank my parents and my brother especially my brother , because he ' s out there . He volunteers his time and he pays for his own flights ; he does a really good job every time we go out riding . It ' s a big thank you to him . My parents are always there to support me , and I ' ve got to thank the Vorseths , they help haul my bike around . The whole Trials Incorporated club , they ' re always out there supporting me and things like that . I ' ve also got to give a good shout out to TRS for having just an amazing bike and always keeping me out there riding at my best .
