just shifted and I took a dab there and then after that just kept it clean . Didn ' t have too many close calls , a couple of had to work for .
But overall , the sections were definitely on the easy side . Being such a low scoring , few of them looks pretty tough , but they either had a lot of grip , the technical ones had grip or you needed to set up . And then the big climbs , you could really just let the bike hold the big wide open . It would dig down to something as long as you held your line and and had overall just happy with the way I rode and the way the bike worked .
It makes it makes everything a little bit easier even when it looks tough . So good way to end the year .
LUCKY NUMBER 13 !! HOW DOES IT FEEL ?
Yeah , I mean it ' s definitely cool . I ' ve definitely got to appreciate every one that I get especially with the other riders stepping it up so much . I ' ve watched these guys for quite a while and I see their progress and I don ' t feel the same progress myself . So they ' re just closing the gap more and more each year .
So just watching them ride and then being able to beat them makes me feel better . Not even with my riding , but as good as they are for me to finish ahead of them is pretty sweet . So definitely got to enjoy it and appreciate it . And just to have the opportunity to keep doing this is pretty special .
So I got to thank the FactoryONE team for giving that opportunity for me to focus on this . Up until now , this is all that has really mattered this year . So it ' s been a lot of pressure that I put on myself and glad I could manage to hold it together . And pull it off .
It takes support from so many different people to make it possible . We do have great sponsors that really help in more ways than one , not just parts on the bike , but getting the rigs around on the road and making it possible for us .
So definitely thanks to everybody that made this happen and thanks to my family ; it was really cool this weekend to have my family out . My dad was able to just ride around and watch . He hasn ' t done that for quite a while . Luckily I rode well for him . And my mom and wife , my brother was back to minding . It was almost a family reunion in a way . Unfortunately , my sister and her family had planned on coming up . They had somebody get sick and then my other brother Phil was going to ride it and he got hurt . So we almost all would have been here , which would ' ve been really sweet , but most of them still made it so it was a nice ending of the year .
