KLM Milwaukee GasGas ’ s Grant Baylor had a poor start off the line and fought all day towards the leaders . He was able to improve on his ninth-place start and take seventh on the day .
Babbitt ’ s Online Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green ’ s Josh Strang had a rough start as well . Coming off the line mid-pack , Strang battled his way to the front , but wasn ’ t able to make the pass on Ashburn , and ultimately found himself 10 seconds behind the Husqvarna at the end of the day . Strang would earn the fourth-place finish with FMF KTM Factory Racing ’ s Josh Toth rounding out the top five a mere five seconds behind .
In the WXC class , Babs Racing Yamaha Fly Maxxis Pro Circuit ’ s Becca Sheets was able to take the win , 21 seconds ahead of Enduro Engineering Fly KTM ’ s Mackenzie Tricker , and 25 seconds ahead of AmPro Yamaha ’ s Rachael Archer . Rockstar Energy Husqvarna ’ s Tayla Jones would find herself in fourth , with Babbitt ’ s Online Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green ’ s Korie Steede rounding out the top five .
