Trevor Bouwens (# 111 ) was the only rider in the Novice class to complete eight laps in the time limit , with a two-minute lead over second-place Lucius Shaunler (# 14X ) after lap seven .
The fastest riders were saved to the very last race , the Expert class . Morley and Potter both posted their best lap times of the day ( 2:05.125 and 2:04.426 , respectively ). The first lap , devoid of any lap traffic , saw the first five riders push times close to the two-minute mark . Andrew Gross (# 637 ) kept a solid domination on eight of the nine laps , keeping all but one lap under three minutes . Logan Morley and Ian Potter were already familiar with the track and battled amongst each other for podium positions . The last four laps proved to be the deciding factor , with Potter losing upwards of 10 seconds per lap . Morley and his KTM would see the checkered flag a full 30 seconds ahead of Potter for second place . Potter would finish in third .
The next round in the 2022 Winter Series will be held Sunday , February 6th .
