In today ' s high-stress world , we can all use a little more entertainment and a little more fun . For the past ten years , Zach Cleland has built a brand focused around doing just this , creating videos on YouTube providing entertaining commentary about local and national races alike , or just days out riding in the woods with friends , giving viewers an opportunity to see the race from a rider ' s perspective .
The humor and camaraderie from recurring guests on the channel , such as Tom ( aka " Tomahawk "), Adam ( aka " Adawg "), and Mike Cook make this channel one you ' ll definitely want to check out .
On the Pegs had a chance to chat with this mechanical engineer from New York to understand how it all started and what the future might hold .
LET ' S GO BACK TO WHERE IT STARTED . HOW DID YOU GET INTO RIDING DIRT BIKES ?
I started later in the dirt bike world ; I was about 13 and I got my first bike it was a DRZ125 and I just rode around my parents property ; the property is very technical , so I gained some real technical experience just free riding . I didn ' t even know anything about dirt bike racing !
It was a couple years later that I went to my first hare scramble , and I was blown away at what the actual sport is ; I didn ' t even realize something like this existed . I did my first race , and I couldn ' t even finish . I just worked on it from there , started making the YouTube videos of this process and they caught on with the voiceover and things went from there .
