YOUTH NATIONALS & WOMEN ' S OPEN
I was approached by Larry Smith at TTC early in the summer about helping to put on Youth Nationals ; the first thing I did was told him yes that we could be there . We had to be there the day after the Ohio national to set up three days worth of kids sections , so I knew we had a task ahead of us . As long as I had the right hands to help , I knew that we ' d be set . I asked Josh Roper , Nigel Parker , Daniel Blanc-Gonnet , and Luke Littlefield , and we all went to town . We got down to TTC the Monday night after Ohio national , and that Tuesday morning we started ripping out sections . We spent the first day ribboning in all the sections ; the next day we put in all the splits , and then the third day before the nationals , we went up there and pre-walked / pre-rode everything .
I feel like all the kids enjoyed it ; everyone was happy and everyone seemed to have a good time out there , so I feel like we set good sections . We had some lines that may have been a little easier , but we toughened
