On The Pegs December 2018 - Volume 3 - Issue 12 | Page 56

On The Pegs P 56 Each rider who rode 9 events and worked 2 events for the season was awarded a season championship position, complete with a plaque of their standing and a photograph of themselves riding. This has long been a valued tradition in the Tri- als Inc club. Along with these awards, several special awards were handed out for those individuals who stood out from the crowd. Titanium Tough Award was created to recognize the efforts of teamwork amongst parents and young adults; the award is not about winning, but about finishing what you start. This year, the award was not given to a young adult, but instead to a young woman, Terra Hiple, who won several first-place trophies dur- ing the season and even won the overall at the Toronto, OH event, a great feat for anyone who’s ridden and survived that terrain. The Mr. Clean award is a highly coveted award that is given to the rider with the greatest number of clean rides for the season. The rider is given a personalized Mr. Clean doll as the trophy for this accomplishment. This year, Mark “Lightning” Weppler earned this award for riding an amazing 312 sections with a clean ride! I
