“ It was pretty brutal out there today ,” Haaker said . “ Last year I got heat stroke here , so this year I was just trying not to lose my mind . The weather was nicer this year , but the rain was pretty brutal , and it made the quite a bit harder . I stuck it out pretty good though . Five hours of cramping and I just kept it going . It wasn ’ t pretty a lot of times , but we kept it going , stayed up and survived to live and fight another day .”
“ I had good battles all weekend long , but couldn ’ t put it together when it counted and took second in the Woman ’ s Pro ,” said Turner . “ I was pretty happy to still make the main event for the extreme race . Unfortunately , I high-sided off a rock and dislocated my finger pretty early in . Good news is nothing was broken ! Thanks to Rylee Devlin for taking me to the hospital to get it checked out ! Ready for some time off back home [ in Canada ] now . Huge thanks to Thorn Devlin for always supporting me , and to my family and sponsors .”
