may never happen , I ’ m trying to be a good example for kids who are struggling or going through difficult circumstances . I ’ ve met with multiple kids around my age who have broken their necks too while in Iowa and shared my story .
After my accident , a man from a neighboring town that had broken his neck his senior year of high school reached out to me . We hit it off right away and are great friends . He showed me that after having this accident , I will still have a normal life and do great . I thought my life was over and was thinking to myself , “ Well , what do I do now ?” It doesn ’ t matter what happens to you or what you go through , what matters is how you react and what you do from there .
I ’ d like to give a big thanks to my mom and dad , my uncle Jeff Lois , the Smage family , and to Kevin and Shari Huber for putting on such great trials events here in Wisconsin for our WOTA club !
