Seeing the upperclassman ’ s abilities blew my mind but also motivated me to someday ride at such a level .
One thing I have been blessed with is to never give up . Meeting legends like Geoff Aaron made my weekend ; he is a great guy and easy to look up to . Ending the weekend with a tie at tenth place has motivated me to train harder .
CRAIG : DO YOUR COACHES OR TEAMMATES KNOW YOU HAVE AN EXTRA SPORTS VENTURE ?
MICHAEL : My teammates / friends definitely know about my love for anything with two wheels . It ’ s easy to find me around campus sporting my Sherco backpack , hat , and attire . I ’ m not sure if the coaching staff is aware of my passion for this sport .

MICHAEL : Yep , my first hard enduro was in Spragueville , Iowa . I finished third in the trials class and fell in love instantly . Having a trials background helped me out tremendously going over logs , rocks , and with hill climbs .
