Door County , I had my best finishes with a second place and third place finish in the intermediate class . I planned to focus and spend a lot of time working to develop skills and make my way through the ranks .
CRAIG : YOU DID A WEEKEND AMA NATIONAL IN OHIO . WHERE DO YOU FIND THE TIME TO KEEP UP WITH YOUR EDUCATION , FOOTBALL AND TESTING YOUR BALANCE ON A MOTORCYCLE ?
MICHAEL : It is very taxing finding time to balance everything going on . Obviously , my education comes first , but my passion for motorcycles is
very strong . I find time to ride trials with a good friend of mine , Bryce Rhone , at a local riding spot while in school .
I am back in Elkhorn , Wisconsin for a few months spending much of my time working and riding trials at the Smage family farm , where my uncle and Noel Smage have been pushing me to grow more as a trials rider .
The Ohio National came together quickly , being the closet one to our home . I asked my dad if we could go so I could compete at that level . The competition was good , and the sections were no joke . It helped me grow as a rider and learn new skills .
