“Encore” 1960’s Country and Pop Legend FRANK IFIELD at The Arthouse Theatre – Wyong July 17, 2019 Born to Australian parents, Frank Ifield sold millions of records worldwide, including major hits such as I Remember You, Lucky Devil, Lovesick Blues, She Taught Me to Yodel, The Wayward Wind, I’m Confessing and many more. The Guinness Book of Records shows that Frank notched up a staggering 158 weeks in the UK Pop Charts by 1980. He appeared on Australian TV when it first began and had his own TV show – Campfire Favourites. Frank gave a helping hand to the then unknown band, The Beatles, who appeared as his support band in the 1960’s. He even recorded a combined album with The Beatles. He was also a major hit in the United States. During his career his friends included many big names such as Roy Orbison, Louis Armstrong, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Glen Campbell, Bee Gees… and he has many compelling yarns about his experiences with them.
