Free Microchipping Day 24th February, 2018 PATEMAN ROAD, ERINA PH: 4304 4350 We have been the successful tenders for the Gosford Pound since 1st July, 2016. The facility also houses our adoption and rehoming centre. During our time here we have successfully rehomed over 600 dogs and cats into wonderful, loving homes (plus one piglet!). We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Central Coast Community who have so wonderfully supported us during this time. From our volunteers who walk dogs, brush dogs and do transport for us to the amazing general public who bring in ice, make frozen treats and have donated cooling mats for the dogs to use on hot days. Our facebook followers who share posts of lost dogs and dogs waiting to find their forever home and our amazing photographers who donate their time and expertise to ensure that the dogs profiles are looking the best they can be – we cannot thank you enough. If we could take a minute to talk about the importance of not only microchipping your animals, but also the need to keep your details up to date once your animals are microchipped. Recently there has been an influx of stray animals brought into the facility who are either not microchipped or with out of date details. It is so difficult for us to get your dogs home to you without correct information or with no information. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding a free microchipping day on 24th February, 2018 at the facility. We encourage owners of dogs and cats who have not yet been microchipped to drop into the facility at Pateman Rd, Erina on the day to take advantage of this free service. While you are here, you can grab a sandwich from the bbq and browse the stalls as well as meet our dogs and cats who are looking for their forever homes. Please note that all cats must be in a carrier and all dogs must be on lead. If your details have changed recently, we will also be able to update your information to ensure it is current. We also welcome everyone in the community to call in on our open day. Central Coast Council are also running a desexing program, whereby owners of microchipped animals and are in receipt of a Centrelink or Dept of Veterans Affairs card can apply for a desexing certificate up to the value of $180 to put towards your desexing fee. We can provide you with this information at the open day as well. We look forward to seeing you…. Flick is an 11 month old Amstaff who loves people and loves to make new doggy friends. Flick will require secure fencing. Shaggy is a 2 year old wolfhound x who has been waiting so long to find his forever home. Shaggy has recently had to have his tail amputated and would love nothing more than a family to call his own. Pedro is a 5 month old Staffy x who loves all dogs and all people and he even gets along with cats! Percy is a 6 year old Lab x. Although he adores the company of his human friends, he would much prefer to the company of his human friends and should be rehomed as an only dog. FEBRUARY/MARCH – ISSUE 92 29
