DISABILITY SUPPORT 2U disABILITY SUPPORT 2U “K nowing that our daughter is not only being cared, for but engaged with, brings us such peace of mind. We didn’t just want someone to come and look after our daughter, we wanted someone to come and play, interact and engage. Our daughter is so happy when Suzy shows up as she knows she’s in for some kind of adventure. It could be swimming, going to the play centre, park or music therapy – any activity Suzy is always willing to give it a go. We are so thankful that we found disABILITY SUPPORT 2U.” Kirsti M This is one of the many testimonials received by disABILITY SUPPORT 2U since Suzy Roche established the business in late 2018. Suzy has had a long history as an in-home educator, aged care support worker and working with people with many different disabilities. She saw a need for a business whose goal was to ensure the needs of the client were met and that person was able to engage in the community to their fullest. Suzy understands that her vision can only become a reality if the staff of DS2U have the same ethos and drive as her. All staff are carefully chosen, have all appropriate WWC checks and Police checks and first aid certificates, but most importantly they share the passion to make a difference in people’s lives. DS2U is NDIS registered and provides a wide variety of support services including personal care in the client’s home allowing them to maintain their independence, social support in the community including shopping doctor’s appointments, swimming and play centres for children, garden and lawn maintenance and household cleaning when the job becomes a little too much. DS2U also has a seven-seat bus that has a wheelchair lift and provision for two wheelchairs. Karen from Terrigal recently returned from a Pacific Island Cruise, her biggest concern was getting to The International Terminal in Sydney in her wheelchair. “DS2U were fabulous, they picked me up in their wheelchair equipped bus and transported me right to the front of the terminal and helped unload my luggage, they were there waiting upon my return.” Suzy says we are always looking for new ways to meet the needs of our clients, we are very excited with our new horse therapy program. We have two beautiful, gentle Shetland ponies ready to be groomed and fed by our horse loving clients. DS2U is steadily growing its client base, but vows it will never lose sight of its prime objective, to provide a caring, personal approach towards each of its customers. As the name suggests, to take the dis out of disability.
