id you know there is no such
thing as a ‘normal’ body shape?
That’s right, NO SUCH THING!
Everyone is unique and has there own
assets and issues. The problem for most
of us is that we focus too much on what
we don’t like about our bodies instead of
identifying what is good and learning
how to enhance those areas.
Lately I (Jordi) have done more Body
Analysis* sessions with clients than
usual. The only thing I can put it down to
is people are getting tired of hiding under
shapeless clothing, being frustrated
when shopping and not enjoying fashion
and dressing as they are confronted with
Summer.
Summer is a time of year when the
layers are lighter, clothing is shorter
and more skin may need to be on show.
Therefore, often clients get scared,
embarrassed, shy or concerned when it
comes to baring their bod. Hence, they
come to us for help.
A *Body Analysis session is a
service we offer where we demystify
the idealised body shape most people
either find themselves striving for, or
criticise themselves for not having. It

that combines; a mathematical process
to assess an individual’s body shape
accurately, teach a positive emotional
attitude and share our fashion
knowledge to ensure clients know how
to shop, dress and confidently embrace
their “assets” and “issue” areas.
Since every body is unique and
require their own set of styling
guidelines (no one can be put into a box
regardless of how much we have been told
body shapes fall into categories of a pear,
apple or whatever other generic shape
someone has decided for us!) it would be
impossible to give applicable body shape
advice for every reader. So we decided
to share some attitude tips we give that
go hand in hand with all of the physical
styling advice we teach. Starting with –
acceptance!
Acceptance is the first step in a self
confidence journey therefore, that
is what we are going to start with in
this article. We are not asking you to
love everything about your physical
appearance, but we do want you to learn
how to accept somethings in order to
be able to start looking at them with a
positive attitude. Eliminating (or at least
limiting) negative self talk will enable you
to be constructive (not critical) in moving
forward with what you may need to do,
learn or change in order to feel more
comfortable, healthy and confident.
The Accepting My Body Promises
covered below has given many women
the gift of confidence, comfort and self
love as they learned how to embrace
their shape, dress in styles that were
flattering to them and be able to explore
being the best version of themselves.
What we share below is all about
empowerment and taking back control
of your precious body and mind. It is
designed to help you make a positive
change in the way you think, look and
feel about yourself forever. Sure, you are
