a backyard bbq then an ankle
boot or sandal is a great option. If a
heel is preferred some great
alternatives to stilettos are
a kitten heel, block heel,
wedge or mule. There
is nothing worse than
when you see a lady
dancing barefoot because
her feet hurt and she has
had to take off her shoes
(Yes, I said it! I understand
that many won’t agree with
me but at 25 y.o I do not
like seeing people dancing
barefoot or walking around
the street with their heels in
their hands.)

 If you know you will be
on your feet all night then
PLAN AHEAD!  a) wear a
pair of heels that you can
last all night in or b) take
a pair of ballet flats. There
is nothing stylish about
wearing a beautiful outfit
and walking around at a
function barefoot.

Have something that
depicts your personality
and style. When it comes
to events whether it
is a backyard bbq,
cocktail event,
luncheon, formal
function or fancy
dress party it is
important that
you wear what
is true to your style
and personality. Wear what you
feel comfortable in! Whilst fancy
dress parties are great because
you can have an alter ego for
the night you still want to be
comfortable and true to you. If
you are given an 80’s theme and
bright and loud isn’t your style,
then do your research and maybe
opt for a punk rocker or gothic
80’s inspired look instead.
Before you head off to your
next party, formal function or
home entertaining invitation I
want to leave you with the quote

over dressed, only inappropriately
