The Arlesey Community Events Group would like to thank everyone
for making this years Summer Fete such a fantastic day. It wouldn’t
have been possible to put the Fete on without the help of a number of
local people so we’d especially like to thank:
J on Boys for organising the music stage and the Firewalk.
The Firewalk has raised at least £1600, and half of this will
be donated to MacMillan Cancer Support
Robert Gifford for being the Voice of the Fete
Patricia and David who judged the entries for the craft/
horticulture show
All the people who donated such a fabulous array of raffle
prizes
Keith Hirst for his help directing traffic as the 70+ traders
arrived to set up for the Fete
Dulcie McLerie for her help with bringing the Firewalk to
the attention of the local press
Steve Maddox for once again producing an amazing Fete
programme.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have
had to cancel the Race Night booked for October 14th.
Sorry to let down those who were planning on attending.
Our next event will be the Christmas Fayre & Lights switch
on on Saturday November 25th. If you’d like to attend please
contact the Events Group at [email protected]

We would like to say a huge thank you to Sam Ward and the
committee for the time and effort they have put in to make this
years Summer Fair bigger and better.
Hopefully the community as a whole appreciates the hard work
that has gone in to making a most enjoyable time for the residents
of Arlesey I know we do.

Draft Local Plan
The initial consultation period has now ended and residents can no
longer make representations. ATC formerly objected to the plan.
We consider there to be serious flaws in the process by which the
sites have been proposed for development, which undermines the
principles behind the draft itself. An overriding lack of consistent
links between the site assessments and the site allocations
proposed within Draft Local Plan is evident, and it is
the Town Councils opinion that site NLP419 is neither sustainable
or warranted.
There is more information regarding our objections in the
minutes of the Extraordinary meeting of ATC held on 15th August
2017. These can be viewed via the ATC website by clicking here or in
person at the office.
