Neighbourhood Watch I hope everyone had a a fantastic christmas break, I think we all deserved it with the worlds problems that have befallen us, plus your personal problems, My team and I are still working to reduce the crime in Arlesey beds this to me and my team is very close to our hearts as in the past Arlesey has had its fair share of crime and anti-social behaviour. A company named as BLUNHAM DAIRIES has started to canvass Arlesey for more customers. A lot of residents are up in arms at the way this company are trying to gain new customers as the person ‘cold-calling’ around the town has been abrupt and rude to householders not willing to sign-up. If you have had contact from this company, and are not happy with the way they are canvassing, please inform me, or Trading Standards, so that we can take further action. I do have a supply of door stickers being delivered to my address shortly by Trading Standards so if you, or someone you know need a door sticker to safeguard your property, please give me a call on 01462 732419 and I will make sure you get a sticker as soon as possible. We cannot stop anyone calling at our homes if the company is trading legally, that’s part of the no cold calling rules, but if the company violates these rules they can be stopped, so if you do not wish to join or receive goods from them – all you have to say is “I DO NOT WISH TO PURCHASE ANY GOODS FROM MY DOOR WOULD YOU PLEASE LEAVE MY PREMIES. IF NOT I WILL INFORM THE POLICE”, it is your legal rights to ask them to leave, as you are not forced to buy at your door. best wishes John Button If you have any problems please ring me – I am here to help you. Also if you wish to join the THE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH then contact me on 01462 732419 and you will be welcomed aboard. Thank You.
