More travellers caravans
Four more pitches have now been approved at the Gypsy site in
197 Hitchin Road. A meeting at Central Beds Council offices on the
12th December saw the committee vote through yet more pitches for
caravans along Hitchin Road.
This now brings the total pitches at 197 Hitchin Road to 10, and
5 at the Twin Acres site – making a possible 30 vans over the 2
developments. One local said “Central Beds Council seem to treat
Arlesey as the ‘dumping ground’ for whatever nobody else wants. We are
powerless as they don’t care and won’t listen to us”.

John Button would like to thank all his
support through the past year, also thanks to all the resident watchers for
your support. Also I can say that all the anti-social behaviour in Arlesey is at
its lowest position and thanks to you all for your efforts although we do have
some crimes still active but they are under control by the Police.
I would like to wish everyone in Arlesey a Happy Christmas and also to
Steve and his family for their efforts and to this magazine ‘on the button’.
