Table top games of varying age from bagatelle to monopoly through to pointless were played, the evening concluding with the latter game which was won by Jim Webb and Des Archer (undeservedly) because they knew the names of unusual types of potato (and not much else). If Geoff Mitchell, the question master had adhered strictly to the rules they would have been eliminated way before the potato question arose. A bring and share tea was there for all to enjoy, which they did, with ample food and some left over, as there always is. I have quite a few images of some of them, that my family have taken or people have sent to me, and I will try and publish some next month.
