Our Garden Grows...with help from our friends.
Links with the local community were strengthened further during half term.
Our Garden and pond area were given a makeover with the help of workers
from Parripak, a local Food producing company specialising in vegetable
preparation. Six of Parripak’s workers arrived ready for a challenge. We have
an area of land behind our developing pond project that was full of brambles
and weeds. To enable us to move this project on further, with the siting of a
Living Willow Structure, they set to clearing the area. Also constructing five
more raised growing beds in our vegetable garden area. Representatives
from Parripak will join us again in the early spring to help erect two or more
Polytunnels next to the vegetable garden.
The pupils have embraced it with great enthusiasm and our grateful
thanks to go to all the workers at Parripak, who we know found it to be
enjoyable.
