On Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November, Fairfield Players will be
performing two plays, offering the audience a last taste of Summer for
this year. ‘Gosforth’s Fete’ by Alan Ayckbourn starts like all village fetes
do, however things start to go wrong and the drama develops into wellchoreographed chaos and climaxes as a full-blown farce. This is preceded
by ‘Larks at the Local Fete’, written by Penny Mitchell, which shows us what
the preparations for a fete might have been like, with contributions by kind
permission of Norfolk comedian, Sid Kipper!
During the interval, a fish and chip supper will be served. We are delighted
to be able to offer a display by Letchworth Morris Men. Members of the
audience will also have the opportunity to browse the “stalls”.
The performances will take place at the Memorial Hall, Hallworth Drive,
Stotfold, SG5 4HR and start at 7.45pm.
Bring your own alcohol. Entry is by ticket only. Tickets cost £10, and can
be obtained from Cards and Crafts in Stotfold or by contacting the box office
on 01767 631265 / Email: [email protected]
