Who Is Claytie Bonds
Claytie -R&B Blues & Soul Artist out of the San Antonio area that has been wowing the city for some time now. Performing in the Texas area as a solo artist & lead vocals for The Midnight Blues Band
Her voice is so amazing, as she keeps the audience amazed with her voice and talent.
She is so versatile in range as she performs a wide genre of music and sounds similar to artist like Bettty Wright, Millie Jackson, Annie Lennox, Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, and so many more artist of many styles. She is so amazing, Her new release is just one of many that will impress you as she will continue to share the many sides of "Claytie Bonds"
Born in Corpus Christi, and moved to San Antonio at the age of 5, Claytie soon began her interest in singing and various genres of music .
Claytie started singing in elementary school talent shows and events, and later church choir as choir director.
Claytie also won 2nd place in a citywide talent show that was held in Houston, TX alongside of Destiny’s Child.
Later in the 90's Claytie was introduced to the Legendary Melvin Waiters and became Mel’s backup singer and toured throughout the military base, clubs and festival events city to city, in which taught her a lot about her craft and interest in the entertainment world.
Along with other great performances in the Texas area, Claytie has also had the opportunity to perform for President Bush in a conference held in San Antonio, TX.
In April 2017 Claytie has had the pleasure to joined the stage and perform with The Big Robb Show at Santa’s Place, She definitely had the audience off their feet , with her version of Stormy Monday .
Claytie will be performing her new single" I Stop Loving You " for the 1st time live at Santa's Place Aug 4th, 2017
Claytie also has an upcoming opening performance with the Legendary Bobby Rush at one of San Antonio's newest and hottest entertainment Local & Tourist Venues the amazing "Tobin Center"
Also in 2017 Claytie has had the pleasure of being introduced to the lovely (Mz Pantheress)- April Winn CEO of OnLive Magazine and the rest is history in the making.
