3 Those of you who know me well know that I listen to a lot of off-the-beaten-path music (by the way if you haven’t heard Viet Cong’s latest song “Silhouettes,” you’re missing out on some AWESOME tunes!). In fact, my iPod is filled with all types of underground, alternative music. One of the many things I loved about the ‘80s were the Fanzines, or magazine publications produced by fans to celebrate a specific genre of music or band. These works of art exuded passion and creativity. I remember waiting impatiently every 30 days for the newest issue to arrive so I could get insight into my favorite bands, derive meaning behind some of their work and get a behind-the-scenes look at how the group made music magic. What always stood out to me was how the Fanzine talked to you instead of at you. It felt different than “Rolling Stone,” “New Musical” or “Melody Maker.” It wasn’t the TAKE FIVE typical magazine. The creators spoke your language. They brought you topics that resonated. They focused on the personal connection with readers. It’s always been my hope to bring a similar publication to our Atrion community. What better way to communicate with our stakeholders—from clients to employees to partners—than through a quarterly magazine? Today, I am incredibly excited to introduce our very first issue of “ON”, Atrion’s quarterly magazine that is designed 100 percent with you in mind. We will explore the challenges you face in the IT battlegrounds; the technological advances that can transform your business; and the potential for incredible business outcomes. We will spotlight the amazing advancements being made by some of our clients as well as the rock-star work being done right here in the Atrion walls.
