B rig h t, Future C hiropr actors
This resource is designed to help chiropractors glimpse a bright future for their
profession. One place to look for that future is in chiropractic colleges. Interactions
with the next generation of chiropractors can be inspiring. Chiropractic students
are a diverse and committed group of individuals.
This commitment can be seen in
the requirements to gain admission into
a chiropractic college. Admissions to
chiropractic colleges generally require a
minimum cumulated grade point average
(CGPA) of 2.50 to 2.75 from at least
three years of undergraduate university
study. The average CGPA of successful
candidates is 3.20. 80% have completed
an undergraduate degree. Once in, the
undergraduate program is rigorous. At
C
CMCC, students complete over 4,200
hours of classroom and clinical study.
The average total tuition bill is just
over $100,000.*
Diversity is another hallmark of
today’s chiropractic student body.
44% are women. 56% are men. The
Palmer Colleges currently have students
enrolled from 16 countries. CMCC’s
alumni network extends to nearly
40 countries.
hiropractic offers a wide array
of career paths and students
are exploring each of these
professional trajectories. Some students
are inspired to contribute to chiropractic
research. Others are focussed on broadly
interdisciplinary care settings. A large
cadre look forward to joining a clinic and
primarily focussing on patient care.
