Dr . Dirk Keenan
( CMCC , 1984 ) has been in practice for over 30 years . He combines a successful clinical practice with his passion for community work and chiropractic integration .
Dr . Keenan was instrumental in opening chiropractic services within a community health clinic at Carlington Chiropractic Clinic , one of the first volunteer clinics in Ontario . It brought chiropractic to those who could least afford it , showcased the power and validity of our profession , and increased interprofessional dialogue in Ottawa . From 1997 to 2004 , Dr . Keenan worked countless hours to get the clinic off the ground and to staff and manage the program without compensation . His scientific papers on the clinic were published in the JCCA and JMPT .
Dr . Carlo Ammendolia receives the 2015 Chiropractor of the Year Award from OCA President Dr . Ayla Azad and 2014 Chiropractor of the Year Dr . Eric Jackson .
