FEATURE STORY / ASPIRE : MORE THAN A TOOL
Aspire ’ s development is guided by several key foundational features :
COMMUNITY , INNOVATION , FLEXIBILITY , COLLABORATION , AND CLOUD-BASED .
This article will explore each feature in detail .
COMMUNITY
Aspire was developed in consultation with OCA members . At every stage of its development process , the OCA has been collecting feedback in order to improve and enhance each version of the software .
This is often done in working group settings and focus groups , reflecting a communal approach to improvement that is not as rigid or hierarchal as more traditional development cycles . This cycle of user feedback feeds into improvements that will benefit the entire Aspire community and it will continue for as long as the software is in market !
The notion of community is also reflected in the open source nature of Aspire . Important forms and documents can be created into an e-form and uploaded to Aspire to share with any other user .
INNOVATION
Aspire provides an opportunity for chiropractors to abandon paper and head into a more digital age .
By focusing on a visual , experiential user interface , using Aspire quickly becomes an intuitive process . Test user Dr . Nourus Yacoub explains : “ The software is very intuitive . Once you see it , you will know exactly what to do . You will be able to click through and understand how to go through a patient encounter quite easily .”
One of the key innovative features of the Aspire software is the ability to share information , especially with our existing PMP software . PMP pushes patient demographics and appointments to Aspire so that practitioners can focus and work on just one software without ever having to make duplicate entries .
Aspire ’ s interface and ease of use are driven by the importance of spending time with your patients . As Dr . Yacoub highlights , by using innovation to drive efficiency ,
Aspire allows me to have a continuous amount of efficacy within my workflow , patient to patient . That helps my clinical interactions , the interactions I have with my staff and it helps me spend more time with my patients .
FLEXIBILITY
It was also important for the OCA to develop Aspire in such a way that it can accommodate a variety of practice styles and reflects the diverse nature of the chiropractic profession . Whether you are a sole practitioner or part of a large clinic involving multiple providers , Aspire can offer a solution for your practice needs .
One major example of this approach lies in the fact that you can write notes in standard text or use a visual user interface with drop downs and illustrations of various body parts , whatever suits your practice style best .
This will also be reflected in Aspire ’ s training and implementation process . Every clinic is unique , so the OCA will perform several steps to understand each clinic ’ s daily workflow , practice style and special considerations . We will then provide tailored and detailed training to all practitioners and CHAs in the clinic who will be using the software , including providing a customized implementation package containing all necessary materials and helpful resources .
COLLABORATION
The OCA recognizes that collaborative approaches are an important element of high quality , patient-centred care . Technology is an essential tool for helping to build and support collaboration to provide exceptional care for your patients .
Aspire can make patient information available to all members of the care team no matter where they are , with access to organized , legible notes that comply with CCO and CCPA standards . Making sure that all members of a
