Most recently, the dynamic duo ministry team trained 24 wom-
en in a three-day session in Yangon, Myanmar. Ideally, each loca-
tion includes at least three or four trainers and two prayer warriors,
praying for every activity and person individually.
The session “Who I Am in Christ” introduces women to
God’s biblical and valued view of women. Included in the les-
son is a Bible study that allows participants to identify with
women in the Bible, and then encourages them to identify their
own unique story. The process takes biblical truth and brings it
into modern-day reality.
Another session is devoted to learning a simple, concise
method to share the story of their journey to Jesus. The women
are also trained to lead a simple Bible study, with the opportunity
to observe, participate in, and practice leading a study. A recent
participant provided enthusiastic feedback on this session,
saying, “I now know how to express my testimony. By expe-
riencing the Bible study, I understand how I can lead a study
and teach others!”
Participants are trained in an uncomplicated evangelism method
that is relevant and culturally adaptable. They are guided in an
exercise designed to expand their vision of people with whom
they might potentially share the Good News, and they are trained
to develop a prayer strategy for those people who will hear their testi-
mony. Finally, they are encouraged to set goals for a six-month
period so that when the OMS team retu rns, we can celebrate
the goals they’ve reached and the resulting fruitfulness.
Recently, after a young woman was trained, she was able
to train other women in her church, which resulted in a door-to-door
community ministry. As a result, 30 new believers were added to
their church … and the kingdom!
The Seed Sowers strategy calls for a follow-up trip six months
after the material is initially presented to assess how well it is being
utilized. The team also then provides facilitator training for those
who are actively using the curriculum.
Please pray for God’s blessing and direction on this flour-
ishing ministry. Ask God to help our sweet, committed sisters
in the Lord put into practice what they have learned, and join us in
praying that the Lord of the harvest will continue to draw more women
laborers into the harvest field.
