Every day, we have devotions at the jobsite and invite God to have his way as we labor together. Through the years, we’ve seen many of our Haitian friends make a decision to follow Jesus. Others have asked for prayer for specific needs in their lives. Still others have shared their stories of what God is doing in their lives. The first 54 of these homes were built in various areas around Port-au-Prince. These were built between August of 2010 and December of 2013. In 2014, we began work at the Bon Repos site, north of Port-au-Prince (Bon Repos means good rest). To date, we have built 27 additional homes, installed three clean-water wells, erected five outhouse facilities, and built a perimeter wall for security, making this a true community. God has sent an incredible amount of people and resources to make all this possible. In July, we began construction on a school/church in the center of the Bon Repos property, which will be a rich blessing for this little village, but more importantly for the Bon Repos community as a whole.
