Last issue , we shared that we were planning a special 120 th celebration in October . Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and global travel , OMS leadership has postponed this event until a later date , yet to be determined . In the midst of this , we rejoice in God ’ s faithfulness and blessings toward OMS for these last 12 decades , and we thank him for all the lives transformed through the obedience of thousands of faithful servants .
Mozambique
OMS Mozambique missionary Jeff Acton reported that in early 2020 , each of the boys on the Xikanwe ( pronounced she-khan-way ) football ( soccer ) team received a new devotional guide called Hora Silenciosa ( Quiet Time ). Four boys formed an accountability group and began meeting to do their devotional together . These boys have been identified as leaders . Jeff said , “ When possible , we plan to have the four boys lead small groups with other players on the team . We hope that through their leadership , they will inspire others to connect with God through the Scriptures .”
