Exciting New Missionary Opportunities Await

Thirty years ago , I studied computer science at a small Christian college in the Midwest . One of my professors worked with missions organizations , helping them with their IT needs . He often encouraged students to use their computer skills for missions work . He would tell us , “ You can do this !”
I grew up in a missions-minded church in Ohio , but the thought of being a missionary never crossed my mind . I just figured it was for other people . But when this professor challenged me and personally asked me to use my practical skills to further the kingdom of God , it was the spark God used to direct me to involvement in missions . Since then , I ’ ve had the incredible opportunity of serving God overseas and now have the privilege of mobilizing others into missions through One Mission Society ( OMS ).
Over the past several months , OMS leaders at global and regional levels have been praying about aligning the work in fields around the world with a ministry strategy that emphasizes multiplying disciples , churches , leaders , and missionaries . These OMS leaders have also settled on a plan to create regional hubs in Hungary , South Korea , and in a strategic , yet currently undetermined , location in Latin America , which will each serve the major regions of Europe / Middle East , Asia / Pacific , and Latin America / Caribbean respectively . These regional hubs will help fields in their regions by providing support in the areas of leadership and team development , communications and media , finance , and member care . OMS is also developing new opportunities in business as mission .
The emphasis on this ministry strategy and regional hubs has created many new , exciting opportunities to serve overseas with OMS ! We are actively looking for people who are sensing God ’ s call into missions .
