Duane : In what ways has WGC ’ s partnership with OMS been helpful for your local and global outreach ?
Ken : “ Men for Missions has facilitated groups from our church going to Hungary to help build a chapel in Szentmargitfalva and to Ecuador for a youth outreach . One Mission Kids , led by Jason and Lora Campbell , has been a key part of all outreach events at WGC for several years . OMS has facilitated many of our short-term global outreaches to places in Africa , Europe , Asia , South America , and the Caribbean .
“ Many powerful speakers from OMS have shared the Word of God at our church . On several occasions , Stanley Tam had a big influence as he shared how he gave his life and business , U . S . Plastic Corporation , to God ( and OMS has greatly benefited from his generosity through the years ). President of OMS Global , Bob Fetherlin , a recent keynote speaker at a WGC global outreach conference , challenged us to engage in short-term opportunities .
“ The world is changing dramatically . OMS has been a significant resource in helping WGC work effectively and securely in today ’ s diverse environments . The establishment of a Church Partners Department is a solid step in vision casting , training for those experiencing God ’ s call , and being a sending church . This partnership has opened new areas of reflection , dialogue , cooperation , and deeper relationships in spreading the Word of God throughout the world .”
