Russia We give thanks for the Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary in Russia, which recently celebrated its 25 th anniversary with a record number of 92 graduates: 42 in church ministry, 38 in counseling, and 12 in theology. Southeast Asia Some parts of Southeast Asia have been resistant to the Gospel. OMS partners tried three times to plant churches in a capital city without much success until they started ministering to drug addicts. Addicts’ lives were transformed. Their agnostic parents were surprised, yet pleased. Together, our partners lead effective outreach to addicts, resulting in a strong church planting initiative. Mozambique Praise God for how the Gospel is penetrating the community through the witness of the church. Helping Hands ministry, working among those living with disabili- ties, continues to grow, with many people having the opportunity to hear, understand, and believe the Gospel. Constantino was recently baptized in his local church. He put his faith in Jesus after he received a wheelchair and accepted an invitation to attend church and participate in Bible studies. New Zealand What is the most important thing in the world? The people of the land reply, “He tangata, he tangata, he tangata!” or “It is the people, it is the people, it is the people!” With growing interest in missions, OMS New Zealand is experiencing exciting new opportunities to see lives transformed by the Gospel while ministering in Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific. 9
