In 2016, ECC trained 5,000 Indian men and women to become church planters to start 10,000 new house churches in 2017. The following story is a result of this effort.
“ Our team leader instructed us with Train & Multiply( T & M) material and gave us the T & M booklet in Hindi. I prayed,‘ Lord Jesus, take me to the place where you have appointed me to serve.’ God showed me a small village, and I prayed,‘ Lord, help me find a person of peace there.’ By God’ s grace, a friend lived in that village, so I visited him and prayed for his needs. He invited friends to his home for a meeting, and I shared the story of the prodigal son. This captivated their attention, so they invited me back. After several weeks, several people accepted Christ, so I made frequent Sunday visits. Within six months, people began to testify how Christ had changed their lives. Several were baptized, and following training, this worshiping group has now planted second- and third-generation churches in other villages.”
