Their gentle spirits, love for God and others, and encouragement to go deeper in ministry are their lasting hallmarks. 18 Tom: In 1978, I went to Ecuador for a year of mission exposure with the purpose of teaching beekeeping to students at the Sinai Bible Institute, a Bible and vocational school for Ecuadorians desiring to go into ministry. Bruce Callender served as the director of this school in Carboncillo, located in the southern Andes Mountains.
