Estonia The Estonian youth board had a crazy idea: organize a camp where kids give up their phones and spend the week studying God’s Word. They played a few games, but mostly, they spent time in the Bible. Result: they loved it! The youth of Estonia have a real hunger for God’s Word! South Korea At Hanwoori Church, OMS missionaries Pam Duhrkoop and Monica Batson lead a one-hour English Bible lesson called Joy Village each Sunday. Kids from 5 to 10 years old attend. They learn about God as they also learn English through Bible stories, songs, games, and crafts. Taiwan Recently, Kelly Dingus, 2nd grade teacher at Morrison Academy in Taiwan, taught about the 10 plagues delivered to the Egyptians through Moses. The Israelites were spared from the death angel by applying the blood of a lamb to their doorway. As she pantomimed painting a doorway, Kelly looked down into the face of a missionary kid. His eyes were as large as saucers, and his grin went from ear to ear. “I get it!” he exclaimed triumphantly, “Jesus is our lamb. His blood saves us from death.” South Pacific Six countries. Three continents. Ten kids. That is the Wesley graduating class of 2017, a perfect example of why teaching and serving overseas is such a blessing for our missionaries. Not only do they have the opportunity to learn about and understand from such a mix of cultures, but when the students graduate, many will “go into all the world and spread the Gospel.” 9
