Global Research, there are more than 3,100
UUPGs in our world today.
Lost people are reached when God’s
people accept their God-given mandate
(Matthew 28:19–20) and intentionally find a
way through social, linguistic, religious, and
political barriers to share the love of Jesus
in word and deed, with spiritual authority and compassion. It’s easy to describe
unreached people groups as “resistant”
or “hard soil.” But the most limiting factor
for lost people being found and restored
to fellowship with the Father is the lack of
intentional evangelism. Time and again,
missionaries discover that when they share
the Good News lovingly and in culturally
relevant ways, people come forward who
are hungering to know the love of God.
Persons of peace emerge, respond, and
turn to God in repentance and faith (Luke
10:1–8). They, in turn, share the love of
Jesus with family members and friends.
Even so, there are more than 7,200 unreached people groups (2 percent or less
evangelical) in our world today. That’s more
than 3.9 billion people. It’s time we give
them a chance to hear the Good News and
find life and peace in Jesus.
One Mission Society works in two ways
to help the lost find new life in Christ:
1. We equip and send missionaries
to unreached peoples to share the
Good News, make disciples, plant
churches, and train leaders.
2. We mobilize and empower Christfollowers who live near the lost to
share the Good News, make disciples, plant churches, and train
leaders.
Take a moment to remember your lost
condition before you met Christ. Thank
him for the wonderful blessings he has
brought to your life. Imagine what life without Christ would mean for you. Then, join
us in prayer, in giving, and in going to make
Christ known around the world.
