No More Bullying
Nadusha, a Ukrainian university student, did not know what to expect when she decided
to attend the One Mission Society English camp in Ukraine last summer. She was nervous,
but this was typical. Most of the kids she grew up with had treated her cruelly. In fact, Nadusha
had been bullied for most of her life, so she prepared herself for the students at English camp to
do the same.
She built walls around her feelings to protect herself. When camp began, Nadusha was surprised when
people smiled and welcomed her to join in the games. People complimented and edified her. She was
shocked no one belittled her or left her out. When she asked why the people at camp were different from
everyone else, the leader explained that they were Christians, trying to treat everyone with respect and love.
Throughout the 10 days at camp, Nadusha learned about God and his great love for her. This led her to open
up, play games, and ask questions. She learned that God made her and knit her together inside her mother’s
womb. She realized she is God’s masterpiece.
By the end of camp, Nadusha said the camp had been one of the best experiences in her life. She began to
attend a Bible study to learn more about the Lord. This summer’s English camp in Ukraine is one of four coun-
tries hosting English camps.
Seminary World Changers
In 2018, the Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary (MECS)
trained more than 700 students from Armenia, Belarus, Ka-
zakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan,
Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Russia. MECS produces signif-
icant fruit. Of the 250+ total graduates: 15 percent are
full-time pastors, 43 percent are bivocational pastors,
24 percent are on staff at parachurch organizations, and
6 percent are missionaries.
Andrey (pictured) is a current student from Moldova.
He is a husband, father of five, a full-time seminary student,
and a pastor at one of the two churches he planted. His church
ministers through orphanages, safe houses, and alcohol rehabilita-
tion centers. This seminary is one of 33 in which OMS invests.
