Finally Home
“ Why didn’ t I find this group sooner?” Chen *, a university student from a neighboring country, whispered to God as he biked home from the OMS church in Japan, tears welling in his eyes.
Years earlier, while his mother lay in a coma, Chen, desperate and unsure, prayed to the God he didn’ t know yet. Three days later, she woke up. Though his mother’ s recovery was miraculous, life moved forward, and Chen’ s thoughts turned elsewhere. But God had planted a seed.
Someone gave him a Bible during the COVID lockdown. He read and treasured it, but his faith slipped into the background as his life grew busy.
Overwhelmed by stress over a job situation, Chen attended the OMS church. He says it was the best decision he’ s ever made. As he stepped through the church doors, the cloud of heaviness began to lift.
“ Thank you, Lord, for leading me home,” Chen prayed.“ I’ ve opened my heart to you. I am no longer the same because you live in my heart. From now on, I will be your faithful follower.”

For seven years, Mrs. Pham *, a woman from Southeast Asia, suffered from demonic possession. She screamed, cursed, and regularly beat her family. Doctors and shamans tried to help, but nothing worked— her condition only grew worse.
She learned about Jesus Christ from believers attending an OMS Train & Multiply training in her town. Desperate for healing, she decided to go to the Christian church for prayer. That day, after receiving prayer, she was delivered and gave her life to Jesus.
Her family, stunned by the transformation, also embraced Christ. They removed all idols and altars from their home, which became a place of worship. News of her healing spread quickly. Inspired by her story, 32 others turned to Christ, forming 6 new small groups. Today, the church in that area has grown to have 62 small groups and churches— a testament to God’ s healing, redemption, and the unstoppable spread of the Gospel in the region.
