As we continue and even expand the vision our cofounder Charles Cowman had in 1901 , OMS engages the one to reach the many by equipping the sons and daughters of nations to reach their own people and partnering with them to impact the world .

As part of the global church that belongs to Jesus Christ , everything we do through our missionaries , ministries , and partners is for his glory . Our ministry remains Christ-centered , whether it ’ s going on a short-term trip to a mega city , evangelizing beneath a tree in a remote area , training disciple-makers , instilling multiplication DNA in churches , developing business as mission opportunities to help fund ministry , creating a pathway for OMS missionaries from the majority world , or responding to a divine window of opportunity for international ministry .

God has called his church to share the Good News and has equipped his followers to be agents of transformation . We strive to serve in a united fashion , seeking honor and recognition only for our God . He invites us all to renew our vision and involvement in his mission .
