PEOPLE FAKING ANXIETY?
I know it's a serious issue for
a lot of people, but I feel like
some people overuse it as an
excuse and self diagnose? Like
literally this afternoon, a door
was locked and I overheard a
girl saying "wow this door is
giving me an anxiety attack"
and "I didnt do any of my
hw bc I was relaxing, I have
anxiety" like ??? That's not
what that's for?? Idk I feel like
people dramatizing small
moments of concern masks
and makes the ppl who suffer
social anxiety and other issues
constantly seem akin to the
dumb stuff. That's my opinion,
feel free to proof me wrong
I HAVE RARE DISEASE CALLED
DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY.
Hello, I am Ivan, 25, from Rijeka, Croatia, born with very rare disease called duchenne
muscular dystrophy (DMD). That is a genetic disorder where mutated genes interfere
with production of proteins needed to form healthy muscles. Disease is progressive
which means that every day every muscle in my body are going to be weaker and
weaker. When I was younger i could walk, run like every other kid, but now I am using
electric wheelchairs and can't even eat alone. Also at night I am using device for non
invasive ventilation to help me breathe.
Anyway enough about my friend DMD, let me tell you something about me :) I live
with my parents and my brother, who guess what, also have same disorder as I have
but he's 4 years younger. I have bachelor's degree from economics, I am unemployed
and I am training boccia for fun and competition (third in my country this year). That's
paralympic sport where people with severe disabilities can participate but need to
use special equipment and help from sport assistants (father in my case). Also I love
technology, movies and almost all kind of pc games. I don't have much friends, I
am kinda introvert, scared of water and insects, but very open minded and realistic
person. Taboo doesn't exist for me and you can ask me anything.
WHERE DO YOU LOOK
TO MEET SOMEONE?
SERIOUSLY. HOW CAN ANYONE
AFFORD TO MAX OUT THEIR 401(K)
WITHOUT EITHER MAKING 6 FIGURES
OR LIVING UNDER A BRIDGE?
Be honest, if you're maxing out your 401(k), are
you in the 1% or are you never doing anything
other than working, eating ramen, and sleeping?
I'm single, make a decent salary, have no debt or
dependents, work 100% from home so I never
drive anywhere or eat out and I'm still no where
close to be able to hit $18.5k. I contribute every
paycheck but with rent, utilities, and general
expenses there's just no way I could max it out.
For those of you who max it out, do you make a
massive salary or have you just forsaken any sort
of life outside of work?
In this age of dating apps, it’s really difficult to meet someone you
want to date after graduating college or getting in to the work
force. Oftentimes in the “meet cute” places like a grocery store or
dog park or something, most people between the ages of 23-33
are listening to headphones. If single, have you ever approached
a woman in real life to strike up a casual conversation and see if
it went anywhere? Where were you and how did it go? Did that
person just catch your eye or were you paying attention in case
someone cute was around?
