TRINIDAD AYANA IFE'S A FASHION DESIGNER
Hi, my name is Ayana Ife and I am a Modest Fashion Designer. I learned how to sew at the age
six, and would experiment with design throughout elementary, middle, and high school. In
my early years I worked as a freelance seamstress, creating custom outfits for friends, parents
of friends and neighbors. My passion for designing has evolved over the years, and I continue
to develop skills that broaden my understanding of the Industry altogether. I currently hold
a Bachelor of Science in Textiles Merchandising and Design from Middle Tennessee State
University, and see my future as a leader, pioneer, and advocate for the modest clothing
market. My goal is to create a permanent, regular, and prevalent space in the fashion industry,
where modest fashion lovers feel catered to and heard.
I’ve been accepted into a 1-year Master’s Degree Program in Fashion Direction, which focuses
on Brand and Business Management. This opportunity provides exclusive insight, and a
hands-on approach to strategically navigate and become widely successful within the fashion
industry. I’ll learn the product, communication, and marketing strategies of successful fashion
companies, explore the Italian fashion pipeline, meet with the most relevant professionals
working in the industry, make company visits, conduct extensive research through field
projects, explore the fashion market, work through real case studies, implement project
management techniques, learn brand leadership, and how to expand brand reach, while
building connections and networking. As well as learn sustainability and ethical practices. This
endeavor will drastically push my career forward and provide the opportunity to achieve the
financial stability I need to become successful.
I am a fashion designer with a calling to give modest fashion a stable, consistent, and
widespread place in the fashion industry. My goal is to provide easy access to modest
fashionable clothing year around, so that currently underserved women like myself can enjoy
the same convenience, relevance and inclusion as conventional shoppers. Please support my
studies to help bring my modest fashion dream to life. I know it will benefit so many women.
I received the scholarship
to the Milano Fashion
Institute, only three short
days ago. To make this
opportunity a reality I
need my living expenses
covered for a year. My
goal is to raise $30,000
over the next 30 days and
I will definitely need your
help to accomplish this
goal.
